In OstermanCron fashion, we aren’t going to announce a predictable color we’ve seen in our recent projects that’s trending right now. Almost like clockwork, your average office furniture store will announce an expected and very typical pastel color in lieu of spring. While we are seeing pastels emerge in healthcare furniture and do love a soft splash in office partitions every now and then, let’s admit it – we aren’t your typical Cincinnati office furniture dealer.
So, here’s an unexpected color emerging in Cincinnati office furniture and beyond: iced coffee. To many coffee lovers enjoyment, the three reasons why people love it are ironically the same reasons that people love coffee.
Bleary mornings end when coffee starts, we all know that. Blended with a robust beige and a warm brown, the iced coffee color is easy on the eyes and keeps employees focused for a longer time. Opposed to loud colors, iced coffee is proven to ease the mind and increase focus on the task at hand. We’ve seen this color used in conference tables and as a subtle addition to modern office furniture that may have a loud, bright color.
Breakfast in the morning isn’t focused on your beverage. However, if you forget your coffee, you know it (and regret it) instantly. Iced coffee is very similar. Although this color doesn’t take the main stage in office furniture design, you certainly realize when you don’t have it. As an extremely complimentary color, iced coffee blends everything together for a smooth finish.
At 8 am on a Monday, millennials are sipping on the exact same beverage as baby boomers. Just as all ages love coffee, no eyes are too old or young to appreciate the color of iced coffee. Kimball Office has always been a component of this color since their first office desks and it still remains very relevant in their design today as pictured.
