Happy 2018 blog readers! It’s a new year, a fresh start, the beginning; does this sound as refreshing to you as it does to me? 2017 was a year for learning, taking everything in and gaining a fresh perspective. With that fresh perspective in mind, I would like to give you a few things to expect from the office furniture industry and OstermanCron in 2018.
First, there is a whole new way the industry is looking at healthcare furniture. Our manufacturer, Kimball, has revamped many healthcare furniture lines to look modern and welcoming opposed to the usual sterile look we see in a doctor’s office.
Second, 2018 is going to be the year for offices to adapt to the new technology age as they will be hiring younger generations who will be expecting things like optix, mobile friendly designs, and flexible hours.
Last but certainly not least, offices may want to begin looking at remodeling their interior to a more modern and updated design with low panels for cubicles and more collaborative spaces to allow employees to work together and maybe even some DIRTT walls that allow for flexibility and change without construction hassle.
The office environment has changed a lot over the last few years and it is just going to continue to evolve so evolving your space with it would be something to think about.
