If there is anything I have learned in my 24 (almost 25) years of life it is that most people, myself included, can stick to a New Year’s resolution for max about a week maybe two if they’re lucky! After the holiday break we return to work with big plans and aspirations because it is January 1st and that is the time to start fresh, but here is the question I am posing this year to all of you: Why January 1st?
This all came about this past New Year’s while I was training for a marathon that I ran on the 7th of January. I didn’t want to start my healthy eating resolution before I finished because I wanted to eat what I ate while training which I wouldn’t automatically deem healthy *Olive Garden Breadsticks*. I also didn’t have the time to complete my other resolutions while I was working and training everyday so this brought me to these few thoughts/tips on how to survive the dreaded feeling of giving up on your New Year’s resolutions.
We’re one month into 2018 and if you’ve slacked on your resolutions so far, don’t give up! There is still plenty of time left in the year to make changes in your lifestyle and keep your resolutions.
