Last week at OstermanCron, we celebrated our yearly March Madness/ St. Patty’s Day party! This annual gathering is a favorite among employees on our team. Not only do we get to watch the first round of the NCAA March Madness Tournament together, but we also get to spend some quality time with the people we see in passing every day and the individuals we had emailed at least 12 times last week but still had not met in person yet!
Annual office parties/event like these are so important for team morale and brand identity. They help bring personality to your name and allow everyone to celebrate exciting news and seasons together. Making connections is what drives your business, and these events are where we can build upon those connections and grow together.
Post event, I really put a lot of thought into the importance of networking and what it can bring to not only benefit a business venture but also a personal goal. Looking further, I learned that 68% of entry-level professionals value face-to-face networking more than online interactions. In addition, 58% of jobs are filled because of networking events. This is a huge impact on both a company and a personal level, especially if you’re looking to advance your career. Managers at companies should want their employees to network and represent their brand in the best possible ways at outside functions, as well.
