Meet the Team

Before realizing she wanted to be an interior designer—at the young age of 12, we might add—Anastasia contemplated being an Egyptologist or Photographer. Those career fields didn’t pan out, but she’s learned that life will never go the way you planned. If you get so set in what you think you want, you’ll never see all the other great opportunities being presented to you. “You have to be a little flexible to really grow,” and Anastasia is definitely open to new opportunities, from having studied abroad for six months in Florence, Italy, to a family tradition of different themed Thanksgiving and Christmas meals like a Mexican inspired Thanksgiving meal with chipotle crusted turkey and dark chocolate and espresso cheesecake. So if you’re ever contemplating trying something new, let Anastasia know, and she’ll be sure to have some advice!

Becky sporadically pops bottles of Champagne in staff meetings to celebrate company victories. She has been to so many Sting concerts, (around 20+) that one time Sting actually recognized her in the crowd. (She played it cool.) While she never will boast about how darn good she is at her job, she does occasionally like to talk about how hard it is being the “prettiest one in the company”. Her humor is a great medicine for the company, and is one reason that she has so many loyal healthcare clients. Becky is devoted to her work, and always puts her customers first with “every breath she takes”.

From the beaches of Nice, with baguettes and sweets in hand, to rock climbing waterfalls in Jamaica—it’s no surprise that Ben wanted to be a pilot growing up. Though if he could have any superpower, it’d be flying (because of the rising cost of plane tickets). Besides travel, Ben’s also a big fan of water, as seen in his love of water sports or anything behind a boat, the beach, and his Portuguese Water Dog, Manny. His first job was even lifeguarding at a local pool. Ben is always up for an adventure, and though severely allergic to most things found outside, he doesn’t let that stop him and regularly takes advantage of any opportunity to travel and head outdoors, even when it’s just taking his dog Manny out on walks or to the dog park. And while getting a pilot license (or developing superpowers) could always be an option in the future, Ben fell in love with interior design on a trip to different showrooms during his senior year of college and can’t wait to explore all the world of interior design has to offer!

There’s right brain thinking, left brain thinking, and then there’s Betsy.  It’s not every day that you will come across someone who can analytically think through processes and determine how to improve efficiencies by day, while painting extravagant murals by night.  An artist at heart with an equal love for processes and administrative work, Betsy knew she wanted to be a project coordinator in a creative environment, and here she is!  When she’s not supporting the OC team, you might find her relaxing on a sandy beach, enjoying a walk with her camera in hand, or painting a playful jungle scene in your kid’s bedroom (with your permission, of course…)

Brandon is his name and Accounting is his game… unless we’re talking about sports.  Then, Football is his game.  He plays in not 1, not 2, but 3 fantasy football leagues each year.  He owns over 40 pieces of signed memorabilia.  While his days of team inspired face paint may be behind him, there is no question of his love for our Cincinnati teams when passing by his desk.  When he’s not watching sports or keeping our finances in check, you may find him enjoying a beach vacation with his family.  While he is a great accountant, Brandon’s backup dream job is a storm chaser.  When the rest of us are heading for shelter when the tornado sirens sound, he will be on the lookout because seeing a tornado in person is on his bucket list.  We just hope it doesn’t whisk him away, because we’re pretty happy to have him on our OC team.

Briana tries not to take life or herself too seriously, allowing her to be authentic in all she does, and she loves marketing because it enables her to try many different things without limiting her imagination. And though her Doc Marten platforms and colored hair are hard to miss, her martial arts background allows her to stealthily work her marketing magic for our bids, projects, branding, social media, and more! Outside the office, she enjoys traveling and hopes to learn at least seven languages. Right now, she is fluent in English, so be sure to say “hello” in the language of your choice the next time you visit our office!

As a former collegiate lacrosse player, Bri lives by the mantra of giving her best each day—whether on the field or in the stands. A devoted Bengals and Xavier basketball fan, when she’s not cheering on her favorite teams, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Georgia. And while Bri dreams of working with elephants and seeing the Northern Lights, we’re happy she’s made her way to us, mini desk vacuum in hand, prepped and ready to take on the intricate world of project management!

Meet OC’s official ping pong champion, Carol. In high school Carol was crowned ping pong champ which we all think was a perfect precursor to her career as a wellness director. Fun, energetic, and active are all key traits for a champion of ping pong and are also an understatement when describing Carol. When Carol comes in the office, she brings an uplifting and positive energy. Her life motto was said by Mother Theresa, “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.” This is a statement that Carol embodies in every aspect of her personal life and career.

Cathy knew she would end up in the design/furniture industry at a young age.  While she originally thought she might be a Hollywood set designer, the tables turned when she started doing her own space planning using Legos and graph paper.  Since then, she has been an interior designer, worked in sales, and has now come full circle with a role in project management.  She brings her expertise to every project she works on, and you’ll love working with her because Cathy loves a happy customer!

A breast cancer survivor for over 24 years now, Colleen knows that tomorrow is never promised and makes sure to live every day to its fullest. She’s always on the go, whether dedicating her time to a non-profit supporting children and families in need, frosting donuts in the early morning at her first-ever job, or embarking on an Elephant Trek in Thailand. Her blue Jeep Wrangler marks her adventurous spirit and sense of style, and while its stick shift may not be helpful when trying to check staying at the Hotel Pupp in Prague off the bucket list, maybe her chosen superpower of flying will!

The local Jimmy John’s driver knows Diana’s name and sub order by heart. When she’s not simultaneously munching on a turkey sub and running P.O.’s, she’s being the crazy dog lover that we all aspire to be. Her fur children Chico and Gypsy wouldn’t have it any other way. Consuming an impressively low amount of coffee, we sometimes wonder how Diana accomplishes so much in one day, all while remaining as one of the most cheerful people you’ll ever meet.

Quite simply, Elisabeth loves puzzles. She gets an adrenalin rush from the challenge of thinking ahead, overcoming dead-ends and obstacles, and coming to a resolution that fits together perfectly. That’s why she’s so darn good at space planning.

Making a beautiful space is easy, but making it functional is the real challenge. Steady, calm and efficient, Elisabeth is an inspired artist – fueled by her love of design and architecture – who isn’t satisfied with her work until she knows it works for her clients.

Sitting on the Green Monster at Fenway Park might not sound like everyone’s dream, but this die-hard Boston fan is itching to cross it off her bucket list. Erin claims if she wasn’t a designer, she would be a lobsterman in Maine. Thankfully for us, at 10 years old Erin had her “ah-hah” moment when she realized she wanted to be a designer. Out on a job site with her dad, she loved the design process and was intrigued with all the small details that came with it. Erin lives an active lifestyle of working out and attending every sports game imaginable. Yes, sometimes body paint is a must.

Fashionista and future round the worlder—Gabriella’s ultimate goal is to travel to every continent. She’s already checked off North America and Europe, having lived in Mexico and Germany and studied abroad in Barcelona. Being the globe trotter she is, it shouldn’t surprise you that she’s a fitness enthusiast, with her favorite activities being cycle bar, orange theory, and lifting. What Gabriella loves most about her job are the people she meets working in sales and her coworkers in Louisville, but her dream is to one day start her own skincare and makeup brand!

From being born in Texas to living in Australia for several years and then Louisville before settling in Ohio for the last ten years—Jillian is no stranger to adventure and making the most of life. She’s ridden elephants, camels, and an ox, gone cliff jumping in Australia, and spent 17 years playing field hockey. While Jillian’s still looking forward to many more travels and adventures in the future (backpacking across Europe, anyone?), this world traveler is excited to start her next adventure in interior design. She’s always loved design shows on tv, going to furniture stores, and looking at houses on realtor sites. Still, it’s the problem-solving and creativity involved in interior design that made her want to be an interior designer, and we’re all so excited to be part of this next adventure with her!

Looking for an engineer that can row a Dragon Boat (and come in first in the 10,000m race) to manage your project? We have your girl! This may not be the most logical of combinations for your typical project manager, but it goes to show how Maggie is ready for anything. Hailing from THE Ohio State University, Maggie is a buckeye fan through and through. Traveling 17 hours to see her team play in the national championship game in Dallas. O-H-I-O!

When asked what his greatest life lesson has been, Mason shares “Always keep moving no matter the obstacles in your path.”  He seems to take this approach in all aspects of life, as he likes being at the center of activity.  He enjoys camping, hiking, mountain biking, sports of all kinds, and has a special spot in his heart for classic cars.  He currently drives a Scion FRS with a goal of eventually modifying it to be a track car.  His need for speed, combined with his outgoing personality and attention to detail, makes the right combination for successful project management in the fast-paced environment of commercial furniture.  When he slows down at the end of the day you may find him savoring a drink and dinner at a local restaurant or brewery.

“Life is like a box of chocolates,” is a term that would send Rachael running the other way. Although allergic to chocolate (a world many of us couldn’t imagine), Rachael is never afraid to try whatever flavors life has to offer her. Rachael finds it very rewarding to spend much of her free time volunteering with various local foundations and isn’t afraid to admit that she loves an occasional trip to Las Vegas. To Rachael, variety is the spice of life.

When you meet Rachel, you will have no choice but to catch her contagious smile. Being the creative, stylish woman that she is, Rachel has always had a passion for design, and that is exactly what you will see through her work. Not only does she find her creativity through her work, but she also finds it through music. If she wasn’t designing commercial spaces, you could find Rachel at her own retail store where she would sell her handmade jewelry and home decor.

Rebecca’s experience over the years—in the field and out of it—means she knows how to find her way in any situation. When she doesn’t, she references her favorite quote from Jurassic Park, “Life finds a way.” If she’s not enjoying a good book at the lake, you can find her spending time with her five kids playing games and mastering puzzles. With so many kids, you can imagine Rebecca is dependable, versatile, and has some tricks up her sleeves, like almost being ambidextrous, which comes in handy (get it?) when you’re juggling multiple schedules and personalities at once. We’re sure that her fabulous juggling skills will aid her in handling the many projects that come through our office.

With over 25 years in the industry, Susan is quite used to hearing “There’s the furniture lady!” whenever she walks into an office. While having a passion for the furniture industry, her biggest motivation is her family. She loves to spend time with family whenever possible, especially with her husband, daughters, son, and granddaughter. In her free time, Susan and her family love to go camping, boating and travel to the beach.

You’d never believe a woman so sweet and gentle could be such a diehard Bengals football fan. Given the chance, (if there’s not a Bengals home game), you’ll find Suzanne somewhere between camping or on a Maui beach. Luckily for us, Suzanne has chosen the palettes and projects over palm trees and pineapples. Call it fate if you will, at a young age Suzanne first watched the movie, “Pillow Talk”, a plot focused on an interior designer. Decades later, Suzanne has been living the dream as one of the wisest, most brilliant designers you’ll ever meet.

Zoe is a creative and adventurous individual with a passion for art, design, and exploration. A former D1 soccer player at Indiana University, she channels her artistic talents into a fulfilling career in interior design. When she’s not working, Zoe enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her two cats, Jasper and Corbin. She also cherishes family traditions like the annual “Oktigerfest” and dreams of traveling the world, with Lake Como being a top destination.
