“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” Well, at least that is what I heard. I like it because some people seem to be happier this time of year. I totally get it—it’s cold outside, people put up trees inside, and there seem to be more food opportunities for Piper! Also, I get to wear a warm sweater which I really love! What’s not to like?
It does feel like people get busy during the holidays. There are more events and less free time for petting dogs. We get to travel to visit our family and friends, which can be fun and a little stressful! While we love our families, there can be some uncomfortable moments. Like when one person says something, and the room goes silent. I am not sure what is said, but obviously, someone did not like it. Sometimes, a visiting family member sits in my favorite chair! I sit and stare at them, but some people just don’t get it.
Friends, especially dog friends, can make things more fun! They are always happy to see you and are excited to leave their house to go to another house or have you visit theirs. There is also usually some type of food to eat or bone to chew. Speaking of dog friends, some of my dog friends visit the OstermanCron office just like I do. And as much as I like to be an OstermanCron dog, I realize that Mango, Ellie, and Stella can be too! That’s what the holidays are all about: sharing your space, spending time with friends and family—and getting new bones and treats! (OK, it’s not about the gifts, but I see how happy people are when they give me things, so who am I to complain?)
Enjoy your holidays-
Piper
