Throughout the past few months, most of us have spent more time at home than ever before. With a new schedule comes new habits, and the opportunity to take on new hobbies as well. For many of us, these new hobbies and habits have become our favorite parts of the day.
Hobbies provide a sense of ease from the stress of everyday life, allowing us to engage in activities that bring personal joy. Positive changes in routine can lead to creating healthy and mindful habits. So, what new hobbies and habits have our team members found?
As many can relate, several of our employees have enjoyed virtual get togethers with family and friends. They say they love how the virtual calls allow them to feel so connected and see faces of those who they are talking with! Kathy makes it a priority to FaceTime with her kids and grandchildren every week. Rachel even recommends trying out a few funny filters or playing virtual games together.
While many gyms are closed and the weather intermittent, Susan has enjoyed finding new workout classes to try that she may not have had the opportunity to otherwise.
Finding new activities to keep the kids entertained is something that a lot of parents have had to adjust to, but Elisabeth and her daughter have loved playing board games together.
Whether inside or outside, creating healthy habits and maintaining them will allow us to transition smoothly into the new year. Finding joy in new hobbies gives us something to focus on and look forward to doing. What new habits or hobbies have gotten you through the last year? Which ones do you look forward to continuing in the future?
