Peak season for office moving companies is from May to September. It’s warm out, and even office furniture junkies like ourselves don’t exactly love the thought of hauling office desk furniture around in the sleet and snow. However, as the summer is the busiest season for an office moving company, off season office relocations could ensure better scheduling, rates, and resources.
Many companies think office moving is best to do on the weekend. As mentioned in our last post, employees may already be resistant to this big change, so the thought of giving up a weekend may not bode well. OstermanCron has found that office moves during the middle of the week often spurs more employee participation and business relocation services often charge cheaper rates during the week as opposed to the weekend.
Aim for the middle of the month when business tends to be slower to move your office. For some reason, the beginning and end of months are usually a very busy time.
