Spring has finally sprung, and we Ohioans are READY! With the start of the season brings the desire to have more flexibility in the workplace. This means being able to sit closer to the window, where the sun is shining in, or setting up shop near greenery throughout the office space. With that being said, it may not be possible to change the structure of your office to add windows, but there are many simple and efficient ways you can improve the greenery around your working area.
A huge trend right now is using a living green wall at the office. A living green wall is a vertical panel system that allows for hanging plans to bring more oxygen to the office environment.
Plants are known to bring more to the workspace than the mere feeling of being outdoors. They are also beneficial for air quality, increasing productivity, and reducing noise. This is part of the concept of biophilic design. To read more of what biophilic design encompasses, check out our previous blog on the subject.
If your company is interested in earning LEED points and WELL credits or even just showing employees your brand is committed to providing them an enjoyable work environment, a green living wall may help.
