I have enjoyed being back in the office, but all work and no play make for an unhappy Piper! So, I am enjoying a trip to the lake for some relaxing time away! I get a lot of walks when we are at the lake. I love all the great scents that are there! Sometimes I look up as I am sniffing along on our walk and there is a family of big dogs near us. Well, I think they are dogs, but I heard someone say “deer” which seems like a funny name for a dog.
Once we get to the beach, I am so happy, as I love the cool water and warm sand! The lake is like having a big moving water bowl! I have found it is best to roll in the sand after getting in the lake for maximum sand coverage. When my friend Ari is with us, she makes a whole sport of “sand swimming” which is a little embarrassing to me and the other dogs.
After I have spent some time at the beach I like to walk back to the cottage and relax on the porch (in a chair of course). While the furniture is not nearly as stylish and comfortable as the furniture at my OstermanCron office, I make do with what is there. Wait a second, someone is turning on the grill, and Piper is the best grill buddy anyone can have! I am always willing to taste the chicken, burgers, steaks or whatever you are grilling (ok no vegetables please.) Apparently, I am a good taste tester as everyone seems to enjoy the food almost as much as I do! After we eat, I will be finding my spot for a nice long nap….
