What better way to celebrate the opening of the month than sharing some fun April Fools stories? Office furniture style, of course.
An office furniture store, such as OstermanCron, has heard it all when it comes to office pranks- tin foiling office desks, rearranging everything in a co-worker’s office cubicle, and even placing air horns under office chairs. So, here’s OstermanCron’s top office prank we found that went above and beyond standard prank duties.
Much like a DIRTT Living Wall, who doesn’t love a little greenery like this in office design? We clearly do, as you can tell from our previous findings on plants in offices. Charlie Harris, an engineer in Texas, realized he had no choice but to start loving plants in the office as well. After returning from a three week vacation, he discovered a lot of foliage but not from a DIRTT wall. Instead, an entire lawn was growing in his workspace!
During his absence, coworkers had planted grass seed, set up grow lights, and watered his area with spray bottles to promote healthy growth. Everything from his desk’s surface to between his keyboard’s keys was, well, growing!
It was reported that Charlie was the typically office prankster, so his “cubicle garden” was much deserved. This prank was all in good fun as both coworkers and Charlie walked away with nothing but smiles.
OstermanCron doesn’t condemn office shenanigans and we do like to let loose every now, taking part in creative schemes like this one. If Charlie wants some new grass-free office partitions he certainly knows where to call.
