PL Marketing, a Kroger-dedicated merchandising services firm, partnered with Kolar Design and OstermanCron to design a new 50,000-square-foot workplace in Newport, Kentucky. The goal: to create a dynamic environment that supports the organization’s growing teams and fast-paced, collaborative workflow. The resulting space balances focus, flexibility, and connection—reflecting PL Marketing’s role in bringing ideas, brands, and people together across the food industry.

Spaces That Support Every Way of Working

Our team designed and furnished a complete range of spaces to meet PL Marketing’s evolving needs. Meeting areas were intentionally designed for seamless video conferencing, creating consistent experiences for in-office and remote participants. A series of flexible training rooms features tables with integrated power and adaptable layouts to support different group sizes and functions.

Throughout the open office, we provided a balanced mix of traditional panel systems and modern benching solutions, giving employees the choice between privacy and collaboration. A variety of open collaboration zones—with high-top tables and soft seating—encourage casual connection and creativity. Supporting spaces, including the café, provide welcoming areas for informal meetings and daily connection.
